Rafael Romhanyi

UEL student

Rafael Romhanyi, is a twenty-one-year-old film student studying film at University of East London. He has known from a very young age that he wants to work in the film industry; he remembers watching films like Bugsy Malone or any Disney film and being completely captivated by them. However, nowadays, he cites films like Buffalo ’66, Blue Velvet and the films of Pedro Almodóvar as some of the films he takes inspiration from.

Before enrolling at UEL, he worked as a runner or helping in the art department on various different advert and music shoots. Also, he has directed almost all the short films he has made, and he writes as well. His aim in life is to one day write and direct a feature film but for now, he is currently developing a selection of different short films he has written.
