Junior went viral after a series of comedic rap parodies hit the web. He and his producer, Tommy became hometown heroes overnight. As they continued to build their brand and create content, their success kept growing. Soon, labels started calling. Junior and Tommy got signed, now known for their monikers - Bad JuJu and Beast Boi.

Jazz is Junior’s girlfriend and partner in crime. She’s a social media influencer who also has an ever growing brand identity. Together, they’re a combustion of ambition. Yet, Junior is unfulfilled. The more popular he becomes, the more purposeless he feels. He’s tired of being laughed at. Are people laughing at his songs or laughing with his songs?

His manager Charles is pushing Junior in all the wrong ways. Keeping Junior from creating the more serious tunes he longs to make. As Jazz becomes more popular and Junior’s fame plateaus due to not “playing the game” a rift begins to show. Beast Boi doesn’t mind the funny music, nobody minds. Except, Junior.

Bad JuJu is centered around the highs and pitfalls of accidental fame. Junior has it all. A record deal, his beautiful girlfriend, a big house, money. He’s living out your dreams, yet, your dreams are not his reality.
